And I got an ipod. I've never had one before and it love it! Anyway, I have a lesson scheduled at the new barn next week! My sister is very excited. She wants to try her hand at dressage O.o that's beyond me. She wanted to do reining at our current barn and says they are very alike. Reining is western dressage? Idk. Music and patterns, maybe, but it's still very different.. O.O Well anyway, I'm just really excited about this. I hope I like it! And I will hopefully be going to Cedar Point next week. I really, really want to go next monday. Inner drama.

Ummm, yeah, long time no write. xD I guess.. I forgot.. anyway, I can't seem to figure out my yuku account, and I need to talk about my problems :P
So I've been at this barn for seven years. I liked it a lot when I was a little kid, but now I feel like they've run out of things to teach me. I'm in a class with four kids younger than me and I don't like it. I don't learn anything and I don't improve. I'm bored. The only highlight is riding the young horses. I even get to teach one how to jump, which is fun. :) But I don't love it there.
I went to an equestrian camp for a week and I'm at a good level but I want to pass the riding portion of it next year. I started thinking about how much I *loved* my horse there and how much I wanted to buy him. Then again, I love appaloosas. But then I started thinking, will I ever improve at my barn? What am I going to do? I don't have any goals.
It kind of started when I was looking for horse boarding places near me. I would definitely not board at my barn because I have heard a lot of complaints about it. I think that you have to let your horse be used in lessons at least once a week or something. I found the place that used to keep the OTTBs in Hilliard. It's an English place and I always thought it would be so cool. The guy who runs it is the brother of the guy who runs my current barn. But they are completely opposite facilities and people.
For starters, my barn's main focus is reining. About 80% of 40 or so horses are registered quarter horses. They send people to Quarter Horse Congress every year. They are national champions in reining. Their team is actually really good. The OSU Team practices there, which is like a huge honor. I'm happy for them, but I'm an English rider. I know Western is a complicated disipline but I just don't like it. Unfortunately, I think my disipline has been left in the dust there. At one point, we had very good dressage and jumping coaches and our iea team did really well, and I was happy, but then they all left, and now Western is the main thing. I mean, sure, there's still a jumping team, but they haven't done as well as they have before. So I'm kind of stuck. I love the horses and my instructor. They're all really nice. I really, really like a certain appaloosa mare. Almost as much as my camp horse. I rode her a lot last year and rode her in a show.
I want to jump and improve my riding, but I don't feel like I'm doing that at my barn. I feel like I'm wasting time and money.
Anyway, I looked at a few barns about twenty minutes away that I've never heard of. I mean seriously, who knew we had saddlebreds around here?! I found a stables that looks nice. Clean, simple website. Straightforward. The lesson prices are the same, and they're actually a better deal, because here they have two or three people in a class, opposed to my barn, which is four or five, mixed ages and levels, Western and English, for the same price. Hmm. And you get a discount if you ride your own horse, which we don't have at our barn. They do IEA shows just like my current barn. Best of all, they still have a horse summer camp, which my sister loves. She goes every year with her friends and she would be upset if she didn't go next year. And this place's camp is a lot cheaper.
I'm going out to see the place and I want to schedule a private lesson or whatever to see if I like it. I'm excited - I really want to have good English instruction and jump with less beginners in my class - but I'm also sad, because I've seen horses come and go and I know all the people at my barn. This is the only barn I've ever known. I've never ridden anywhere else. I grew up on sweet old qh mares. So I'm kind of scared to leave and ride unfamiliar horses. But I'm unsatisifed with my barn, and so I'm hoping this goes well.
Wish me well? :'( I'll miss the horses. The people, not as much. But I do love the barn.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://horsecrazy88.blogspot.com/2009/06/sigh-inner-drama.html' title='Sigh. The latest post was no exception - all about BACONING WEBSITES. I decided to try it, and it's immensely fun. The directions are at the Junk Drawer, too, and they're really easily.

Just go to http://bacolicio.us/ and then type in the name of the website at the end of that link, http:// and all, full link, or it won't show up and you'll just get a big piece of bacon on a blank screen (although nobody can be to upset about that!). The bacon looks insanely real, and it's so funny when you show people for the first time! A good way to scare someone with this is to type the link to a random site you're going to behind that link when they're not looking, and then scream OMG BACON! when they do look. I tried it. Pretty funny. I decided to baconize my lil' old blog here, too. You can see it on the top. =] Delicous!

In other news, Rob cut his hair! It is better the first time, when you don't know what happens. But it's still a good movie. =] You pick up more, look for different things. Well, I know Chris Weitz is going to be directing New Moon, and that it will come out Nov. 20, 2009 (what a wait! D=). Hopefully, this time the critics won't say it "suffers from bad directing" this time. And, omg, did they seriously not hire on Taylor for the second movie? SERIOUSLY? Hope his agent gets him back! I know a big Team Taylor fan... she's gunna be mad to here that!
I have discovered three of the funniest videos I've ever seen, genius lip syncing. New Moon is going to be directed by someone else. If you read the professional critic reviews, like msn, they've given them scores like 2 out of 5 stars. Gotta remember that not everyone has seen Twilight and knows it cover to cover like we Twilighters do, and so people like my buddy who had not read the book and went into the movie theater knowing nothing about the plot or anything, come out confused with a horrible review for it. It wasn't perfect, even if it was embraced so well by the fans. New Moon, hopefully, will be better and have a more experienced director who knows what the heck they're doing and just how they're going to achieve perfection in the sequel. Hopefully, the views aren't too different, like if Steven Speilbeirg directed it would definitely not be anything like the first movie! I hope it turns out ok, and there is speculation that the movies will all be done before 2012. After all, they're shooting Eclipse and New Moon back to back. However, I have heard they aren't going to do Breaking Dawn. Honestly, I wouldn't either.
I'm hoping for the best on this movie. I personally am not much of a fan of thanksgiving.... I'm so out of it! The noise was annoying... for the most part, I hid out in the car and re-re-read New Moon for something to do. Kind of a wasted day. I came back to watch Elf and A Christmas Story, two of the best x-mas movies ever. I'm kind of sad that Twilight's been getting some crappy reviews, but for the most part they've been giving it what I have 4/5 stars. ^.^ I think I dislike Thanksgiving so much because of the food - I can't stand gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, pumpkin pie.... turkey is okay, but I definitely prefer chicken.
I'm just glad we have days off school. I'm exhausted lately, so I've been happy to curl up and read New Moon and teach my sister how to play trombone (although I'm sort of regretting this; she practices Mary Had a Little Lamb far too early in the morning). Also, I'm really lonely! All my friends are out of state for Thanksgiving (at least I've got pets to sit!) and the only one who's emailed me all day is my pen pal from New Zealand. I wish I could go shopping tommorrow, but I've heard it's really nuts and nobody but me would be up for it. *sigh*
Back to the brownies, pjs, and New Moon.

Twilight: A Movie Review

All the buzz is over. Twilight's out! And I'm proud to say I saw it when it did. It was worth watching, and I give it 4 stars out of five. :)
I laughed more than I expected to! A lot of parts were really funny! I thought that they would cut out stuff like the lion and the lamb catch phrase, from what I had read from some articles, but they didn't. Half the script is directly from the book. Every song on the track is included. :) They added some stuff, like the bad vamps killing more than one person. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is kind erractically put together and hard to follow for a non-Twilight-reader, and because it was so SHORT. I mean, I know it was a long book, but there was no meadow. Everything just kept jumping to the next thing too fast. They cut so much stuff out. And it didn't seem like they were in love. Robert looked good, but his acting wasn't too hot. Kristen was better than I thought she would be, though. It was a pretty good movie; worth the anticipation (the mobs, not so much :P).
Although most people loved parts like the first kiss, the fight (terrifying and rather grotesque), or his sparkly skin (kind of lame :(, I must admit), I abosolutely loved the part when they play baseball. It was awesome, just as I imagined it. =D
And, good news! The end kind of left off in a cliff-hanging, sequel-bringing way. Victoria staring out at Edward and Bella at the prom - the way it ends just makes you know they've got a sequel planned, and from what I've heard from multiple sources, they've got the rights to make New Moon and Eclipse (which will probably not be as good, and the popularity will go south like most movies, but oh well).
Worth the wait! And Harry Potter 6 was in the previews... lookin' good!

1 DAY LEFT!

Wow, I just can't believe it's actually tommorrow. I am so excited, but strangely it feels wierd.... actually I think I'm just tired from riding today, and I'm sort of wierdly disapointed that I wouldn't come home and then go see it, because it felt exactly like a Friday! I have no idea what I'm going to do with myself tommorrow. Gah. I was too warm this morning to wake up! It's like, 20 degrees here in the morning, but today it got up into the mid thirties. Woohoo. Unfortunately, I have no coat (Christmas is a [snip] this year Dx) and two layers is not toasty enough. Especially because it's snowing. Ah, such woe. :[ At least I have a warm bed... that is like 60 degrees warmer than the rest of my room.... so blech....
A lot of the reviews say it is good, but doesn't live up to the book (what movie does?). Oh well. I am warming up to Robert, but I still hate the flat primadona playing the vital Bella. ='( She seems nicer off screen, I'll give her that, and she looked great on the Today show! But Rob seriously needs to figure out what to do with his hair. It looks terrible poofed out all over the place... it would look better shorter and kind of spiky, maybe?
I doubt I can blog tommorrow. I loved the book so vigorously that I just can't wait to see if the movie lives up to it. Every time one of my twilight fansites over there *points to gadget* reveals a new clip of the movie, I restrain myself from looking because I don't want to ruin the movie for myself! ^.^
Now, I'm not a big fan of the cast entirely, well, yeah, Edward and Bella are pretty-looking off the movie screen (except when Rob has, um, hairstyling issues), but Rosalie looks like a mom, Emmett looks like math teacher (I'm not kidding!), and Jasper looks like Beethoven. Alice is ok, but where is the spiky hair? She looks like Carrie Martin (Kim Rhodes, lol)! She definitely is not the Alice I expected, but she's pretty with her hair long! :]
Again.... 9 DAYS!!!

Happiness is spoiled

I am totally in love with the new gadget thing I added on to the side of the blog - I can easily see if any of my blogs have new posts or not!
And *squee of fangirlyness* I'm going to see Twilight on the 21st! The happiness is spoiled somewhat by the fact that the real premiere is in California, and I live on the East Coast. Dx Oh, well, I can at least say I saw it on opening day, right?
And I've been rockin' my converse sneakies =D They're so comfortable for me, because I pretty much have the flattest feet on earth and the bottom of these things is almost as flat as my feet. Well - I'm not totally sure, as I've had only clues to pick up on here - but Bella wears Converse All-Star shoes to the prom in the Twilight movie, and so now it's a big sort of movement thing to write Twilight-related things on your Converse sneakies! I got a pair today, and I wanted to write Save Midnight Sun, but the cover's already out so I wrote Team Edward, 11.21.08, I <3>
My Converse tennis shoes are waffle-bottom and white lace all the way, baby! I got them in navy to wear with my darker jeans; I didn't really want black or pink. My parents laughed at me; they had these when THEY were kids. They're just coming back into style again, and I love them a lot! I needed a cute new pair anyway, and these cut it. =D Very funky, go with almost anything you wear - participate in the Sharpie Shoe Movement, Twilighters!

SongRoll One!

Mk, sort of my little award listy thing goin' on here! (Kaye combined with opinion if you didn't know. Lol.) It's about a familiar topic.... TWILIGHT!
You must not know that I have a big crush on Edward Cullen. Um... yeah, I'm wierd like that. Fictional characters are my type, y'know??
And, for all you Twilight-haters out there? If you haven't read the book... then, well, you have no reason to dislike it. That's like complaining about the president if you didn't even vote! Now, we begin....

Well, we start off the series with a modest book offering you an apple on its cover. Not a scary cover. Nothing to judge by. Nothing to hint the contents of the book! Some people are still unsure of what the cover represents. Haha! Well, I know. =P Anyway, you take the apple and flip it over. If it's the paperback, you have no idea what any of the stuff means but if you're like me, you want to read it because everyone says it's a good book. So you buy/check it out/loan it/steal it/WHATEVER the book.
And then you read it. Nothing exciting has happened, but you find yourself flying through the pages, your eyes and brain eagerly consuming every word the text has to offer. It's that good.
I was near the end, at one of the REALLY GOOD PARTS and then we got to a store, and I had to stop abruptly. I was breathing really hard. My sister was looking at me strangely. I was like, wow, I've never been that engrossed in a book before! I felt right with the characters. I felt like I was there. And that's hard to do in a book.
Sooner than I wished, the book was over. In a day. I wish I could have read it slower, but I doubt such a task is possible! I spent the rest of my free time rereading the best/my favorite parts to savor them. Such a beautifully crafted story! I loved how it was vampires explained. Like, they're not all they seem to be. No capes and silver stakes and all that. Real reasons, twisted into myth. It's very creative!

Twilight
Rating: Two thumbs up!
Very brisk and thrilling. Bella is easy for anyone to like, and Edward, is, well... you know. Edward! You're free to imagine what he looks like, but I personally dislike the one in the movie. :( The end is one of the most thrilling parts, and the meadow scene is a highlight for me. My abosolute favorite is when she sees him for the first time in the cafeteria! THE BEST in the whole series. Nothing is so complicated in this book!
New Moon
Rating: No thumbs
I hated this one! I mean, yeah, she gets to find the truth about Jacob, but it's not much a book without Edward. She's got a shattered heart (how could you not be when *Edward* leaves you?? Don't worry, he feels even worse than she does...) and Jacob takes a liking to her. I am not Team Jacob. I am sorry, very small percentage of people on Team Jacob. I do not like him nearly as much as Edward. He is fine when he is just a happy-go-lucky, growth-spurking teenager, but then Bella finds the truth and he's no longer a friend. He's competing for her over Edward! He wants to make a move. Ick! Unfortunately Bella sends Alice a mixed signal, which is misinterpreted and gets to Edward. He thinks she's committed suicide. And he instantly wants to kill himself, because he thinks it's all his fault. After all, he thought this would be better for her. So he heads to Italy to mess with a very powerful, very ancient force of vampires called the Volturi. He's gonna get killed, Bella's trying to get there in time, it's all very confusing from here, but I was like, Edward's back and that's all that matters.... uh, right? It's a whirlwind of confusion for me, but they survive with one condition. Bella knows about the Volturi... either she becomes a vampire, or dies. They head home and all is well again. Yayyyy. Well, I still hate this one. It's very hard to get through it. (Restrain from skipping ahead. You'll probably miss some detail.)
Eclipse
Rating: 3 out of 5
It's hard to remember Eclipse, but high school graduation's coming up! =OOO And then, dun-dun-DUM! Victoria's after her. This time, she's organized a large party of dangerous newborn vampires to get her, and they've been hunting in the cities. The police obviously have no leads. The werewolves and vampires have to call a truce and be allies to protect one thing - Bella. So Victoria wants to take Bella away from Edward, because he took James away from her, only James never really loved her. He just used her. So, she and the new army get destroyed and Bella is safe. YAAAAYYY. Well, the Volturi come. They're too late to anything but kill a surviving newborn. They take off, it's all happy again. Wahoo!
Breaking Dawn
Rating: 1 thumb up
Well, reading this one was kind of sad. It's the thickest, but you know that once you get to the end there will won't be any more books! :'( It's not nearly as rushed as the 7th Harry Potter - thank goodness! I did cry at the end, though. Well, the day has come. Bells are ringing, they're getting married. Jacob is there, woohoo *sarcastic* and goes ballistic for a reason I still don't understand (I was as confused as Bella on that one). They go on their honeymoon to Isle Esme, and have a great romantic time until THE NEWS COMES. She's pregnant. Obviously, they go into shock because this can't happen. There is no way, no how, it's not possible. Bella's rushed back home and falls really ill. The half-vampire baby is going to kill her and Edward is a wreck. Jacob's pack wants to kill it, and he won't stand for that. He realizes he's the true alpha, seperates himself from the pack, and goes off to protect Bella. Leah (my favorite werewolf!) and Seth join him. The Cullens want to save Bella by killing the baby, but encouraged by Rosalie, she won't let them. So, it comes and Bella lives and she turns into a vampire. =] The rest is less gross and slower, thank goodness. Resnemee is gifted and all is fine, until another vampire sees Renesmee and mistakes her to be an immortal child, which is a big no-no for the Volturi. And she tells them, to get back at them for killing Laurent. Big mistake. Renesmee is just half-vampire, not a vampire. So they gather up an international army of vampires, and they plan to stand up to the Volturi and save Renesmee. Well, it works. Bella discovers she's got a power, too - a mental shield! Alice saves the day, Resnemee and all the vampires we know and love plus the army of good ones are spared (and Jacob >=P), but Irina ends up getting killed for telling them the wrong thing. Revenge never ends well. =[ Renesmee and Edward and Bella are all happy. The end. =[
Midnight Sun
Rating: 4 out of 5
Oh, come on, I'm not THAT big of a spoiler!!

My overall rating for the series: 4 stars out of 5 (because I just can't stand New Moon!)
I concede that if you haven't read it, you need to (unless you are over 18 or male).

Kaye has spoken.

The Friday Adventure!

So me, my friends, and I went to this place we go to every year for the heck of it, called Leed's Farm. The three amigas arrive and begin the journey I now account....

Trailblazas
We get there, and immediately after paying we dashed off into the labrynith that is the wilting corn maze. Of course, it is easy to mistake a real path for a trailblazed one.... right?? So we are crashing through the dying, easily snapping stalks of old corn and chucking the unharvested veggies in their husks at faraway armies. It is a blast, and we are way out in the field before we realize the rows we are so easily navigating down AREN'T part of the maze... whoops, who knew? So we're lost, and we're running and panting all over the place and it's really scary and then we get out. Strangest thing, I tell you!

Zipline of Death!
Then, we head to the really terrifiying 200 foot-long giant, tall zipline on the other side of the place because the line gets really long. My youngest friend doesn't want to go - she's scared of heights - but me and my other bud get in line to await eagerly, conversing with other people we know. I get my harness on easily and climb up the stair-ramp thing to the top, waving down at my - wise! - friend who stayed behind. Then, I look down and make a realization....
We're REALLY high up here!
It was NOT this scary last year! I open my mouth to protest to the staff working this terror, and my legs start shaking in fear. I'm standing at the edge, and I'm hooked into the zipline. Too late now!! Holding the rope with alabaster knuckles, I'm pushed off - against my will, but I'm too frightened to move - from the sky-high wooden ramp.
Whoosh. Wow, this is kind of fun, actually! I stick my hands out like I'm flying. Before I know it, the zipline's reached the end and I'm spinning slowly in the air as we head back towards the ladder in the middle, where they're going to get me off this darn contraption.
My legs are shaking as I'm unhooked and I climb down the ladder miracously unharmed.... as quickly as I can I go back to the front of the line to get my harness removed, legs still jiggling in fear... I reach my wise pal and inform her that it was great!

No, er, JUMPING
We're waiting anxiously in line to jump on this AWESOME tramp thing when my friend mistakes these letters on the side of the tramp.... of course, we all start laughing hysterically and snap a picture on our phones. I submitted the best one on dA....
And here it is!
Get it?

We pretty much stayed there until it closed! It was awesome. I can't wait until next year... and stayed tuned, I went to the Quarter Horse Congress and I've got a story!

Kaye has spoken.

Lights out, courtesey of Ike

Thanks a ton, Ike.
The bad side:
I live in the Midwest, and we get horrible, tree-ripping winds? That just isn't fair. At least it didn't rain... *knocks on wood*. But the power still went out at 6 pm, thank you very much, and it didn't come on until, like, 3 or 1 am. I hate it when the power's off at nightfall - there's nothing to do but go to bed at 8. >:P
The good side:
I have no clue why, but they cancelled school today! :D A whole bunch of districts, including mine. But, hey, I'm not complaining!
But we still can't go outside. Naturally, as a trend-follower, I decided to track it down. Even my good friend *Star* had put it up on her updates and added it to her name. So I decided to track down the Dixie Club. Well, long, graphic story short, Dixie was a three-month old pretty solid paint filly who was severely injured in barbed wire. Where most people went, "Oh no!" I went "You idiots". Why? Because any horseowner with HALF a BRAIN knows that under any and all curcumstances you never, ever put a horse even CLOSE to barbed wire. What did FHOTD tell you? Especially babies!
Expect the unexpected. Of course you can guess she got horribly ripped up and needed a massive amount of stitches. There a multiple shots in the video where she is standing right next to barbed wire fence! Wtf!?!
She is cute and all, but I have no sympathy for idiots. Her owner has been called a scammer by quite a few people I know. O.o So, in short, KEEP YOUR HORSES AWAY FROM BARBED WIRE. I am not trying to be heartless, and I just angry for ignorance. Maybe I am wrong, but still, it is pretty hard to be stupid enough to put your foal near barbed wire.

My, It's Been Awhile!

Two weeks, in fact! While grumbling about having my premium account upgrade delayed again I found that an individual scheduled a show. I was like, what the fudge? Why does a person with a name like that get to be premium and not me? It gets better. This person doesn't actually support any animals! Yes, there is a watermark but it's hard to read (I didn't really even notice it at first) and I highly doubt it will make sense to any of you.

First off, the whole idea of this picture? I am not sure. It's titled TROTTING HORSE for obvious reasons, but since when do long-bodied Warmbloods go trotting through the Navajo complete with halter and shipping boots? If I was that Warmblood I'd be running for my life to through off that misted ponytail subsituted for my tail.
This is yet another random horse plopped in a random scene. The feet have been cut off to make it look like they are in grass or something, but it doesn't even come close to that effect. It looks exactly like a poor attempt for picture enhancement. I think she's actually looking back to see if she's shaken that wierd-o tail added on!
There's no price on this one, but I wouldn't even pay for it. The odds of this thing selling are really high, in my point of view, but if people think this is quality.... go for it.

Kaye has spoken.

K'pinion #6: What's wrong with this picture II

Omigosh, look! I found another classic well-cut and stuck on a background picture, with a little bit of cutting. Yeah, that's right, Horselanders. This is what ten million HLD will buy you!

Let's get started. While the background is pretty and the white letters having their own reflection is lovely, wtf is the boat for? It's a lovely, peaceful theme..... and then, there's this fugly horse plopped in the middle. Again, terrible stock choice!

That horse looks too fat for its hind end. The horse is sunny! It doesn't match the background at all! While it might be the fact that the horse has its head turned this way, the neck and chest are freakishly muscular or fat, I can't decide. Which makes the poor head look tiny on such a colossal front end.

People, that's not graphics. To some extent, I could do that on Paint. It's just a totally random horse cut and put on a background. With fancy text affects. Really.

Kaye has spoken.

K'pinion #5: What's wrong with this picture?

Well, the Fugly Horse of the Day Blog is back on track and I've discovered a new blog that cracks me up, Cakewrecks. It was an okay day - I spent quite some time on horseland due to the fact that I had nothing to do - and then I found a picture on a horse vying to be the stallion mascot of the FFA Club, which I add, really has little to do with horses.
I hate to sound like julian (who I adore, no offense) over at the hl blog, but...... as the title suggests, what wrong with this picture? (click for full view)

It's a picture that made me do a double take. Never mind the fact that he has 130,000 points at age 13. He only has 1500 unruns in the past two weeks, which leads me to the fact that he is a full-fledged ticket eater, which is how horses will 2 million points exist on horseland (ooohhhh trust me, they do). This straight eygptian arabian stud, with no get on the internet, has a great name. I used my fantabulous MS Paint skills to erase/paint over any evidence that could be harmful (the picture maker's trademark, the owner's name, the link to the page.... stuff at the bottom which I accidentally made into a white cloud....) and saved it, titling it fugly. Let's point out the wrongness, shall we?
That is one of the wonkiest leg posistions I've ever seen! The equine on the Howrse homepage has a better limb configuration than this Arabian. If it were a dude, I'd say it was preparing to pee or something. But it's not..... I'm not going to go into detail, but basically I can tell if it's a stallion/gelding or not. Trust me. That's not it. That's a filly.
A filly is a young female horse. Youth may have to do with some of the ugliness in the horse pictured here. First of all, I hope the horse grows into those huge, honkin' feet. They look clunky. Next, that neck is fatter than it needs to be for such a tiny head, but maybe it's just the angle. It's also freakishly long. Why does it look like it's going to fart? I guess they have high tail carriage or something. Puny ears, I mean I'd heard they were small on Arabs, but those are just teeny.
Is that a scar or a tiger stripe on its thigh or what? Shadow? And where is its mane, hmm? I still can't find it. All I can make out is some limp orange spaghetti.
The horseland blog has been up in arms about graphics lately, and they have been talking about the maker of this particular picture a little bit, actually. This is an example of a horse cut out very well and put on a pretty background. No blending, no textures, not really a matching background. Yet, in horseland currency, this hideous creation probably cost at least ten million.
I'm not insulting this player's work, really, I'm not. But if you're going to choose horse stock images to put on your graphics, please pick a good one. And again, this is basically a very well cut picture on a background. I saw a drop-dead gorgeous vexel/vector on a horse the other day, and it looked like real art. Freaking amazing. This ain't a masterpiece. You should get a picture to enchance the appearance of your horse's page. Sometimes, it can help people want to buy/breed to your animal. It should be about quality and beauty, not bragging rights. Somebody bought this to put on their horse and brag about how they got something from XXXXX. Wowwwww. Lucky you. All I can say is that if I was a horse, I'd be really ashamed to be represented with an image like that.

Kaye has spoken.

K'pinion #4 - Million Dollar Cow?

Too much for a bovine?

Time for a post! I first read about this on msn and thought it would make a great post. If you haven't heard, a group of people bought a red cow named Apple for a million bucks. Just wondering, how old do cattle have to be to reproduce? They sold five of her daughters, and she is four years old. Isn't that a little scary? Her sold rare-colored offspring for as much as $160,000 each. Wow, what a steal! A lazy red mooer to sit in your field and pop out babies! I'm sorry, but this thoroughbred cost lest then that, at $80,000. The white thing is blueblooded and can actually earn his keep, even after he's done racing. Isn't a million bucks too much?
Oh, sure, she's got "rare color and breeding potential, so she can pass on the genes". Haven't you ever read FHOTD? There's stuff like that all the time. (P.S. There hasn't been a post since Thursday! I hope there's some kind of big rescue going on.) It's a red, freakin' cow. So, it's rare. What do you think made it rare? Tigers didn't commit suicide, you know. Cows always pick black and white over red and white. People probably bred it out of the cows, but not entirely. Just look at the Friesian horse. They have been in one color - black - for a very long time. Again, all the color is bred out.
Look, one million is just too much for me. How can you afford to feed the darn thing after an investment like that? Apple's cute. But a million bucks can buy you a whole ranch and one thousand head of bovines. Plus you could feed them for a year. What's the big whoop over a red one? Weeelll, I hope there aren't any buff-e-lo shooters anywhere nerby - red stuns fer bullseye!

Kaye has spoken.

JPF No. 1

Rest your case, George Lopez. Organic stuff. First off, my mom is a food scientist. This helps me out some to put this clear through my head.
She told me that in past days, farmers used to spray whoknowswhatgunk on their crops and no one protested. People don't really do that anymore - why is organic so popular now? My mom's work has found that there is really no nutritional difference between organic apples and apples trucked in from Washington. So why are people paying more money for these harvests? Because they apparently believe it is better for you - I never really understood the whole thing.
Growth hormones I do feel iffy about because I feel that it's asking too much of the cow, but organic farms that use no antibiotics and stuff like that (again, the milk is the same as normal, non-organic brands), sourced from a vet, lose a third of their cows in the winter. See, if one of your cows get some kind of staff infection and you don't use antibiotics, it will probably die. And the disease will probably be contagious. Even if they recover, their milk will probably not be good. So you have a) dead animals that are harder than crap to dispose of and b) useless milk that is being wasted.
What is the point? Kindly explain.
I personally don't care about organic stuff. I loved reading the Sunflower Market newsletter, but did they stay in buisness for over a year? Noooo..... the whole organic market went bankrupt and hence kaput.
So save yourself some money. Organic stuff is no better than the normal stuff, period.

Kaye has spoken.

K'pinion #2 - Pals

Yes, I picked something totally random for a first topic. But it is kind of a nice subject to pick up on. What we're talking about today are pals. Ok, random sidetrack - I just can't get over the word pal. What is it deprived from, principal? Who uses that word, anyway? Anywhoo, back on track. I have one epal and one penpal myself.

I met my epal around last December. Apparently I had created an account on penpalsnow.net and entered a little info into a profile. She thought I sounded like an interesting person (huh, that's how my friends describe me, but not in that way ^_^) and emailed me. My penpal is my friend who moved to Arizona two years ago. Now, for comparison.

My epal lives in Rotorua, North Island, New Zealand. She rides horses, like me. The seasons are totally opposite there. While I am griping about the terrible 90+ degree humid summer weather, she is complaining how winter rain is trapping her inside for days on end. My epal has sent me pictures of her pet rat Hoody and her favorite horse Choci (R.I.P. as of 5/13), and another horse, Rosey. I sent her pictures of Topaz, cool american stuff, and Corky. They call stuff in NZ different stuff than we do. There is apparently a very overpriced store there, called Cabella's, when I'm pretty sure it's a video game or something?

My penpal hasn't written me in a very long time. We always send each other stuff, like pictures. Lately we've been conversing via youtube messaging system. We've only exchanged about 6 letters in a span of a year, and nothing has been particularly interesting except hearing about his Bichon, Maggie. My penpal lives near Phoenix, Arizona in a really cool house with a pool!

Yes, I realize that having an internet friend is dangerous. A lot of things are dangerous. Heck, a guy who survived three motorcycle accidents met his death when he slipped on a banana peel. How lame - but it just goes to show you that freak stuff, however low the chances or odds, can happen. My sister's friend was on a family vacation when somehow lightning struck near their car, and her dad touched something metal and had to go to the hospital. He's now on heart meds and their only source of income. Yes, I know, freak. But my friend and e-friend can't meet me, not a chance at all.

So, in my opinion, e-pals are better if they write you often and are interesting and nice. If they're not, penpals are the better option because they can send you pictures, gifts, and real stuff but it's not a good idea to meet them online and then send stuff. A long gone friend/faraway relative or cousin is a better idea.

Kaye has spoken.

First Ever K'pinion - What's What

First Post Ever!

Nickers, this is Kaye. The blogger who's new on the scene. Frankly, I got a lot of my inspiration from Fugs, who blogs over at FHOTD about total morons who have unfortunately have access to a fugly pair of opposite gendered equines. And feel the need to breed them, despite the overwhelming amount of fugliness involved. Anywhoo, this blog was formerly known as horsecrazy88's lifeblog, and who's interested in that? Uhhh.... anyway, I have pretty strong opinions about things. You've been forewarned. So, if I insult you...... big smoldering snozzberry. Haha, did I mention I speak weird? I've got my own little sayings.

In my world, me, my friends, all stuff important to me, the internet, horses, okapi, FHOTD, and Corky matter. You don't, okay? I don't care how mean, cruel, snarky, stupid, ignorant, childish, or immature you think I am. My world is a bubble. In that bubble is a refridgerator box in which I live. It is cooler than your box. In that box is me, my room, my family, my pets, my computer, and my stuff. Nothing can harm me in my box, mkay? That means you are outside the little bubble. Mess with me and I mess back.

Sorry for the mean little draaaama moment back there. I'm really not like that. I'm usually as nice as can be, but if you poke the penguin too many times, out comes the gun. A lot of people like me. I've got great friends, online and in real life. But I've got some pretty nasty enemies in both places, too. I'd rather you be in the first category. What about you?

I pretty much give you my frank opinion, and you contribute yours. I comment on the best ones and I feature them occasionally. I can feature the worst, too. Um, no, you can't have my email address. You can make comments, though, and I will try my best to notice anything important you need to say. Unless it's stupid. Can I delete comments? I'm not sure yet. This is my first post, cut me some slack! xD

I have to leave tommorrow, unfortunately. This is such a stupid time to start up my blog. Gah. Oh well. It takes time to catch on, right? :D So, comment a little. Give me something to opinionate on! I will do at least one post tommorrow, and you can look at that (or those) tommorrow, right? Yay.

Kaye has spoken.
